Sustainability

Responsibility to people and planet is at the heart of our strategy

Green makes good sense

Considering environmental and societal impact is not only the right thing to do – it also makes good business sense. Research shows that businesses around the world who are focusing on sustainability anticipate strong performance.

We have a robust structure of sustainability oversight and risk management in place, with a Sustainability Council led by our CEO.  This allows us to assess the impact of climate change on the organisation and respond to the risks and problem-solving opportunities that climate change brings.

A holistic approach

The green thread that runs through all our operations incorporates the way that we prioritise the health and wellbeing of our people, the way we interact with our environment and the way that we operate across our value chain. We were the first power supply manufacturer to join the Responsible Business Alliance in 2008 and follow its high standards for environmental performance, business ethics and the treatment of people.

Transformative innovation

Sustainability is an integral part of our strategy, and all our employees are encouraged to get involved.

Our aim is to reach net zero carbon by 2040. Our innovation and efficiency allow us to minimise our own carbon footprint and help our customers to limit their own impact.

We’re also undertaking a full lifecycle analysis of our products, so we can identify where the carbon is in our value chain and work with partners to reduce it.

Our Code of Conduct commits us to a work environment that is free from modern slavery, bribery, or corruption.
